The twinkling lights of the Christmas trees standing in front of the illuminated palace will create a romantic seasonal mood. Artisans offer Austrian handicrafts and original gifts such as hand-made Christmas decorations and mangers made of natural materials for visitors to admire and purchase.
The fragrance of fresh Christmas cakes and biscuits and hot punch contribute to the Yule Tide atmosphere with seasonal carols and gospels performed by choirs, brass bands and music groups in front of the Christmas tree.
The guided tour 'Christmas in Schönbrunn' is an in-formative stroll through the Christmas market. Local guides tell interesting and amusing stories about Christmas from the time of the Habsburg era up to now. >br>
The Schönbrunn Zoo train runs between the Christmas market and the Hietzing gate daily from 18 Nov - 23 Dec from 4 to 8 pm.
