Set against the arcades of the Grand’Place, the ‘Marché de Noel’ is not to be missed. Whether you
are looking for a specific item or an unexpected surprise, strolling through the market will give
you thousands of gift ideas: traditional craftsmanship, wooden toys, porcelain, jewellery… It is
also the ideal place to find sumptuous Christmas tree decorations or tasty gourmet regional products
for Christmas gatherings. There are other delights to be sampled at the market: roast chestnuts, mulled
wine, and seasonal sweets. 60 wooden chalets will be spread along both sides of the red carpet which
will be laid along the market’s covered walkway. The highpoint of the market: the well-known descent
of Saint Nicholas from the belfry (75 meters) on the 6th December.
