A traditional market dating back to 1570 - one of the oldest and finest in Europe, this market boasts
one of the highest Christmas trees. Located around Place de la Cathédrale and Place Broglie. The pedestrian
streets around the Cathedral are full of the scents of mulled wine, sweets and spicy cakes and biscuits.
All the main streets and shops are decorated and illuminated, giving the city a magical atmosphere,
and sell specialities including ‘Bredele’ (which are small Alsatian biscuits), finely crafted toys, jewellery and ceramics.
