The whole city is turned out with sparkling fairy lights and festive decorations. The cosy Christmas Market
features little huts selling hand-made arts and crafts, delicious food and mulled wine. Every street and every
square is decorated individually, the whole city telling a Christmas story.
Highlights are the life-size nativity scene, Jazz matinees every Sunday, the fantastic ice rink and
the Christmas Cruises on the river Rhine.
Exciting packages at great prices can be booked through the Dusseldorf Tourist Office. The packages include
accommodation and a city WelcomeCard as well as local treats and activities such as the 'Feuerzangenbowle'
(hot red wine punch). Cooking classes (preparing a traditional German Christmas dinner) are also available.
