The idyllic Schlossplatz in Wiesbaden is the atmospheric location for the Twinkling Star Christmas Market which takes place from November 23rd to December 23rd, 2010. Four entry gates, decorated with the golden lilies of the city's coat of arms lend access to this wonderful Christmassy scenery. Arts and crafts, some of them created while watching, are offered at nostalgic market stands, all designed in the traditional Wiesbaden colours blue and gold. There are gifts made from olive wood, mustard and beekeeper’s specialities, the world champion of confectioners, glassblowing or handcrafted puppets – to name only a few of what the wide range of stands is offering. For the culinary wellbeing there is plenty: seasonal bakery goods and sweets as well as heart- and hand warming drinks are served. Children can enjoy merry-go-round and toy-train rides around the tall shimmering Christmas tree. An accompanying programme with carol singing, concerts, nativity plays, and fairy-tale tellers add to this charming atmosphere.
’Eiszeit’ – Ice Skating in a Setting Full of Atmosphere

A large public ice skating rink will again be a welcome attraction for young and old. Skaters can enjoy this wintry fun until the late evening hours every day. At the park “Warmer Damm” in front of the Hessian State Theatre a varied programme with ice disco, themed nights and curling is offered from November 24th, 2010 to January 9th, 2011.
Stands decorated in wintry Christmas style with mulled wine and Christmassy delicacies cater for the guests.
