The medieval market square, the city hall and the scenic Old Main Bridge provide a beautiful setting for
this traditional Christmas Market.
Würzburg’s medieval Christmas Market, complete with jousting knights and a nativity scene from the 14th century within the walls of the Marienberg Fortress. The illuminated fortress Marienberg with walls and gates stand mightily
over the city of Wurzburg.
On the market square and in the gothic Church of St. Mary, famous for its unique
statues by Tilman Riemenschneider, Christmas concerts are held daily.
